Over 100 volunteers give approximately 6,000 hours annually.

 

Do you enjoy Siouxland history? Like to work with the public? We need your help to interpret the history of the Sioux City region to our visitors.

The Sioux City Public Museum and its sites are able to provide a higher level of service to the community thanks to the commitment of an outstanding group of volunteers.

Internships


 

Interns are valued additions to the Museum staff. 

Museum supervisors work with interns on a variety of tasks and roles within the Museum. Internships are generally unpaid and available to college and high school students.

Donate an Artifact


Donated artifacts are usually cataloged and stored until they are needed for research or exhibitions. Among the items of interest are:

Sioux City-related photographs
Sports or company uniforms
Sioux City-made items or memorabilia.

 

If you have a piece of Sioux City history that you would like to donate, please contact the Museum's Research Center.

The value of the donated item may be tax-deductible. The Custody Receipt can be completed in advance, or with our help if you prefer.
