Educators from the Museum and Morningside College collaborated to create thematic materials based on different components of the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) for elementary students.

Rock and Mineral Kit
The Rock and Mineral Kit contains 18 mineral samples, 20 examples of igneous, metamorphic or sedimentary Rocks; 3 state rocks and 9 fossil samples, as well as a guidebook with a thorough description of all contents.
Free to educators and available for 1 to 2 weeks at a time.
Please arrange pickup/return with a Museum Educator.
Live Virtual Tours
Bring history into the classroom with a Live Virtual Tour around the museum. The tours are:
Accessible via Teams or Zoom
30-35 minutes with a guide visiting Museum Exhibits
Focused on Corn Palaces, First People, Early Settlers, Transportation, Technology Changes, or a specific topic based on the interest of your class.
We encourage multiple classes to sign up for a tour time slot together.
