NAACP hosts ‘Mentors, Mothers and Movers’ to kick off Black History Month in Sioux City

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The NAACP of Sioux City hosted ‘Mentors, Mothers, and Movers’- An event celebrating African American women in the community Saturday afternoon at the Sioux City Public Museum.

The event was held on Saturday, Feb. 1, and featured a panel discussion with prominent black women in Sioux City. Each woman spoke on their life experiences and the effect that other influential black women had to shape their own lives.
